Maple Ply is the go to material for the grid shelving system, beautiful, anti-microbial, cost effective, and easy to clean. 

Avoid direct heat (like pushed against a radiator), and direct moisture.

Cleaning use a cotton rag and a non alcohol based multi-surface cleaning agent.
